Courtney Dennison is a former Oregon State Gymnast where she was a solid competitor for them on the balance beam and vault for three years. Her last year she was forced to retire when she was diagnosed with vertigo. With the sudden change, she was given the opportunity to be a student assistant where she helped coach the balance beam. She was a Tumbleweeds alumni where she was coached by the founder of Tumbleweeds, Kim Bird. Courtney now is the owner where she will develop young gymnasts to become the greatest they can be.
Courtney was a competitive gymnast at Tumbleweeds Gymnastics where she had many accomplishments. She was a national qualifier for Level 9 where she placed 4th All-Around and took 2nd on the balance beam. As a Level 10 gymnast she was a three-time qualifier to the USAG National Championships. Her first two years at Nationals, she placed 8th and her senior year she took 4th on beam. Her senior year she achieved the award of Gymnast of the Year for her over-all gymnastics accomplishments throughout her career that was given by the judges of Arizona. In 2004 she received a full-ride scholarship to Oregon State University. As a solid competitor, the team qualified to the NCAA National Championships three years in a row. She majored in Human Development and Family Sciences with the option of Early Childhood Development. She earned Pac 10 All-American Honorable Mention in 2007 for her academics.
